IMPORTANT UPDATE
BMCC is updating our website! The website may be down for periods of time during the transition starting on May 21st, 2024. For a few weeks after the transition we will have a link to this old website to give folks the opportunity to find content before we fully retire the old media and content. If you have questions or concerns please submit a ticket at support.bmcc.edu so the IT team can assist you.
Welcome new students, faculty, and staff! If you're having trouble accessing your BMCC email, Moodle, Student Records, etc. you can submit a ticket at support.bmcc.edu.
Aanii,
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break, and I hope each of you used your time to get recharged for the upcoming semester. I especially love the spring semester because the weather will eventually get warmer as the days begin to get longer.
As much as I was looking forward to seeing students on campus next week, BMCC has decided to move the on-campus courses online for the first two weeks of the semester. All classes will still resume on January 10; however, on-campus courses will meet virtually for the first two weeks of the semester. We will transition on-campus courses back to in-person learning on January 24th, 2022. Your instructors will begin contacting you about logging into Moodle to complete assignments during the first two weeks of this semester. I also encourage you to contact your instructors with any questions.
Throughout the next two weeks, there will be minimal staff on campus; however, all staff members will be available to answer any questions you may have. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
I know that many students prefer in-person learning. However, due to the increase in COVID cases in our communities, we felt it would be the best choice to start the semester off remotely to help stop the spread of the variant currently taking our communities by storm.
Like we have been doing for the last couple of years, we will continue to monitor the situation, assess our COVID-19 protocols, and adjust as necessary to continue to offer a safe learning environment.
BMCC is committed to your health and safety! Stay safe!
Sincerely,
Duane A. Bedell
President
