Mickey Presented with a Thank You from Everyone at BMCC

Today was Mickey's last board meeting as president of Bay Mills Community College. Although we are saying baa maa pii to Mickey, we are proud to carry on the legacy he has created here at BMCC. Thank you for your years of service, Mickey.

Library Update

Library Re-opening

The library will resume normal summer hours beginning Monday, August 10. Hours will be 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. until the fall semester begins. Changes have been made to ensure the safety of library guests. We ask that you please review the changes prior to visiting.

BMCC Selects New President

Bay Mills tribal member Duane Bedell has been selected to serve as the new president of Bay Mills Community College. The BMCC Board of Regents formally announced their decision on Friday, July 31 at a special meeting.

President's Update

BMCC intends to reopen the College to in-person instruction starting August 31, 2020. This will entail many changes in operation to limit the exposure of students and staff to the coronavirus. Class sizes will be limited to approximately eight (8) students per classroom to accommodate social distancing, and masks must be worn in all BMCC facilities.

CARES Act: Student Emergency Grants

May 27, 2020

BMCC has identified students who met the eligibility requirements for a CARES Act emergency financial aid grant and distributed a total of $77,500 to these students on June 1, 2020. Plans are being developed to distribute the remaining funds. Click here for more information.

Postponement of Graduation

I am sorry to have to postpone our graduation scheduled for May 15, 2020. This became necessary with the latest round of Governor Whitmer’s Executive orders and the continued spread of the Coronavirus. We do not want to jeopardize the health of our community, graduates, or their families by acting irresponsibly.
